So, it turns out that I smile too much
I don’t take things seriously
I think life is simple
And bla bla bla……. Wow! There must be something wrong with
me.
Life is not simple, life is hard. I mean, I must be crazy!
Who says life is simple?
*hiss*
Lol!
You see, there is something I have come to accept in life
which is the fact that; “People will always talk”. You sing, they talk, you play, they talk,
you cry, they talk, you die, they talk. People never stop talking.
I grew up learning things like;
life is not a bed of roses,
be thankful for everything you have, be contented, do your best and leave the
rest, don’t worry too much and so on… I learnt a lot of things through
experience.
People wonder why I am always smiling and I wonder why
people find it hard to smile sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, I do not walk on
the street smiling but, the moment I am having a conversation with someone,
there is an automatic smile on my face.
I use to wake up with a smile on my face but, life sucked
that out of me. However, the moment I open my eyes and look out of my window
into the sky, I cannot help but smile.
Ultimately, the sight of something beautiful should make you
smile. If the clouds, the trees, the birds in the sky, the wind and every
beautiful thing on earth can’t, then try creating your own earth.
There is nothing you will go through in life which someone
somewhere hasn’t gone through same or even worse. The question is; can’t you
survive it?
Before you scream “no”, just know that pain doesn’t kill,
disappointment doesn’t kill, hurt doesn’t kill, and sadness doesn’t kill either.
We win some, we learn some. Every experience should be a
teacher. Teachers are different. Some are harsh, some soft, some easy going while others are hot tempered. So, it doesn’t matter which category your teacher (life
experience) falls into, all that matters is what you learn at the end of the
day. If you can learn nothing after any experience, then the joke is on you.
In life, there is no such challenge that you will face which
will be too much for you to handle.
It doesn't matter how large or how beautiful a cup is,
it cannot contain more liquid than it is capable of.
I wake up every day with a different challenge but I do not
let whatever bothers me to get into the way of other good things that could
happen.
Leave your worries for the darkest part of the day (night)
and appreciate the good things when it is bright.
I always say “I have selective deafness” I
listen very well but, I also filter and select what sinks into my memory or
else, anybody can ruin a perfectly good day for me.
If you have time for rubbish, take people’s hurtful words to
heart and if you don’t, (like me) pull a Taylor Swift on that bullshit and SHAKE
IT OFF!
If you don’t have any reason to be happy, make someone happy
and you will automatically be happy.
I believe that certain experiences in life should only
strengthen us. There is always the good and the bad so, appreciate the good.
Forgive!!! When
I forgive, I feel like I have been trying to fly for so long and now, I can fly. There is something called “karma”, why not just forgive
anyway? Karma is part of life so, WTH!
Life goes on. Die naturally/commit suicide, nobody will die
because you died. Everybody will live on and move on.
Bear your cross. You enjoy your happiness alone and you
suffer your sadness alone. People can only imagine your pain but never feel it for you, they can observe your excitement and laughter but can never experience it for you. So practically, the key to your happiness is nobody but you.
Don’t let anything weigh you down. Be a “yo-yo”! No matter
how low you can go, get back up. Never remain on the ground.
Life is a teacher….. LEARN!
We all know learning is a process but, never compare
yourself to anyone. You’ll never believe the sacrifices people had to make to
be where they are or, the kind of bridges they had to cross.
Don’t be in a competition with anyone who isn’t in a
competition with you. Competitions are unhealthy anyway.
“Life is a race but only the dead have gotten to the finish
line”.
Enjoy it while it lasts, you never know how close or how far
you are from the finish line and when you cross that line, you will never get a
chance to re-run.
All the best!
With love
